Peter Cain is the Senior Vice President that leads Science and Innovation for the EMEA and Global Accounts. With over 12 years experience in the marketing industry, he brings best-practice econometric and analytical solutions across a wide range of verticals.
Prior to joining MarketShare, Peter served as VP of Econometric Analysis at Millward Brown Optimor, where his role involved the creation of a team of strong academic and applied econometric researchers, carrying out and project managing direct day-to-day modelling and analytic work, the design and implementation of advanced market-mix modelling econometric systems, the implementation of improved techniques to evaluate both short and long-term return on marketing investments, cultivating thought leadership and writing academic papers.
Prior to working at Optimor, Peter worked for ACNielsen where he expanded the core store-level modelling and analytics service as an International Modelling and Analytics Consultant. In this capacity, Peter also managed projects and carried out quantitative modelling analyses for various international FMCG clients covering pricing, promotions and advertising decisions. Before working at ACNielsen, Peter worked for IRI as Senior Development manager, where he developed aggregated market level modelling, forecasting services and methods for assessing the long-term impact of marketing mechanics.
Peter received his BSC and MA degrees in Economics from the University of Warwick and his Doctorate in Economics from the University of Nottingham.
