Amit Paunikar is Vice President, Products at MarketShare. He is responsible for incubating new product ideas and developing innovative and scalable products.
Amit joins MarketShare from Google, where he worked on search and advertising products. As lead product manager on Google Video, he spearheaded the transformation of Google Video into a pure video search property. As a product manager in AdSense he led patented innovations to help automate the assessment of publisher quality. In AdWords he launched a new bidding product that quickly ramped up to over $300MM in annual run-rate and was acknowledged as a “Top 10” product launch, earning a mention during Google’s quarterly earnings call.
Prior to Google, Amit was a product manager at Yahoo! and worked closely with Yahoo! Research to launch new matching technologies for the Yahoo Publisher Network. Prior to Yahoo!, Amit was an early employee at Nomadix, a company started by Dr. Len Kleinrock, and worked in key roles in product management, marketing and engineering. He also served on the editorial board of Hotel Business Review and wrote multiple articles on technology. Prior to Nomadix, Amit held positions at Bellcore and Citicorp.
Amit holds an MS in Computer Networks from University of Southern California and BS in Computer Technology from VJTI, University of Mumbai.
