As the newly appointed GM of Intuit’s Payment Solutions division, Chris Hylen has nearly 20 years of small business payments experience. Prior to this position, Chris served a four-year term as vice president of sales, product development and marketing for Intuit's Payment Solutions division. In this role, he tripled the size of Intuit’s payments business and grew customer acquisition by over ten percent year over year.
Chris successfully led the Payment Solutions division by driving the development of innovative payments products and services including the launch of Intuit’s first mobile credit card processing solution. To date, Intuit’s Payment Solutions division is ranked 8th in the payments industry in terms of the number of merchants served and processes more than $17 billion in transaction volume.
Chris’s experience and passion lie in growing emerging payments businesses, which have helped him adeptly navigate Intuit’s entry into mobile payments. Before Intuit, he held executive roles at Automated Data Processing, ComData and American Express, among others. Within these companies, he primarily drove revenue growth through the introduction of new and innovative products including the creation of American Express’s first Internet group and online products.
Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Widener University and a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School.
